Monserate Winery

This is a winery but they actually have some of the best pizza around! The pizza chef has competed and won contests for best Neapolitan pizza. We loved the Picante and Meatball pizzas we've tried.

Wine and a comedy show

We had the best experience at this winery! We each did a tasting, and Josh was so knowledgeable in explaining each of the wines we tried. We also tried their prosciutto wrapped melon & caprese appetizers, as well as the picante & meatball pizzas. Their woodfired pizzas are Neopolitan-style and have won awards and contests, they're so good! The property is so tranquil & beautiful, great for groups & events. And they often have live music and other fun things going on.

Monserate in Fallbrook is my new favorite winery in San Diego. They're the largest in the county, and they serve only estate wines. They've done extensive research into selecting Italian varietals that'll thrive in the region- so not only do you get some unique varieties, but you know it's quality. It's an absolutely stunning property with delicious woodfired pizza. They have a tasting room in the works, that looks like it'll be absolutely gorgeous. A must try- the slushee with a Fedele float

If you're a wine club member, you ger 4 complimentary wine tastings per month as well as discounts on wine and food! We enjoyed our tastings with a strawberry salad, and Bianco (honey gorgonzola) and Pompeii (ham & peccorino) pizzas. Perfect end to the holiday weekend!
