Somisomi serves taiyaki (fish shaped waffles filled with your choice of filling - custard, red bean, nutella, etc.) you can order the waffles themselves or the ice cream version. Pro tip: the ice cream version gets messy so order it upside down (ice cream flavor in a cup and taiyaki on top instead of ice cream inside the taiyaki). Their ice cream swirl flavors differ every time but I got lucky that they had ube and cookies and cream combo this time. It was so good!

There’s a new matcha custard filling and it’s soooo good!! I love their taiyaki since it’s sort of mochi-esque so it’s crunchy and chewy and sweet from the cream. It’s always made fresh to order and so satisfying.
