The Mudbar's welcoming sidewalk kiosk is the perfect stop for a bold, dark roast americano, an iced Vietnamese, or an authentic Mexican mocha with a smile! Grab it and run, stay for a chat, or hang at one of our tables and watch the world go by. Either way you drink it we hope to make you a coffee that will put that extra spring in your step and make your day a little brighter! Established in 2005. Our story begins with Tim Chambers and San Diego Espresso Co in 1989, one of the original coffee purveyors in San Diego. Tim and his employees served up delicious brew with a side of smiles and charm from wooden wagon wheel carts throughout downtown, this location at 1230 Columbia being one of them. I came upon him working one day in 1994, begged for a job, and the rest is history! After nine years as a barista I was lucky enough to become the owner, and The Mudbar was born!
