Voodoo Doughnut

I am happy this is around now - lots to choose from it’s a bit overstimulating hahaha.

Everyone has to have one at some point, right? I got the maple bacon bar which was recommended but by the guy at the counter and it was pretty great. Wasn’t expecting it. I’ll need to go back soon and try a different one. Love the artwork.

I’ve been here a few times, and although donuts aren’t my favorite generally, the donuts here are enjoyable. The grape flavor of the Grape Ape wasn’t overpowering or overly fake tasting, which was nice. I’ll probably continue to return if I’m in the area.

LOVED THE BACON DONUT! I was craving a sweet treat at 2 am and voodoo donuts is open 24 hours! They have lots of creative and unique donuts that are freshly made!

I’d been to the Voodoo in Portland several times so was intrigued to try it again here in LA. Honestly, it’s not my favorite donut spot, but I appreciate the vegan options. Voodoo tends to be too sweet for my taste and the dough is more dense than other places. The selection is hit or miss. Some donuts are waaay too sugary, but others are good. So far, the pb&j one is my favorite.
