Byodo-In Temple is a non-denominational Buddhist temple nestled at the foot of the Ko'olau Mountains within Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kāne'ohe, Oʻahu. Built in 1963, it serves as a smaller-scale replica of the nearly 1,000-year-old Byodo-In Temple in Uji, Japan, a United Nations World Heritage Site, and stands as a Hawaii state landmark. The temple welcomes visitors of all faiths to worship, meditate, or simply soak in its extraordinary beauty. Peacocks, Japanese koi, and lush surroundings create a serene atmosphere that feels removed from everyday life. The grounds are well suited to families, couples, and solo visitors seeking a meaningful cultural experience.
Byodo-In Temple is located at 47-200 Kahekili Hwy within Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kāne'ohe, HI 96744, on the island of Oʻahu.
