El Budare

The waitresses at El Budare Café are mostly Spanish-speaking but they were welcoming and willing to answer any question I had about different foods on the menu. I tried their most popular Arepa, ‘The Reina Pepiada’. It had chicken, mayonnaise, and avocados. I chose to add on sweet plantains. The cornmeal dough was super fluffy and soft. My friend ordered the “La Llanera” apera: beef, cheese, fried plantain and she added avocados. Great food drinks and service!
