Flavors, vibes and dim lighting at Gaku take me back to Tokyo. I’ve been twice in two weeks and can’t wait to come back for more. My favorites were the chicken thigh and wing skewers of course, but everything hit the spot. They nailed the flavors here— good quality meats, sauces, and everything was grilled to perfection. The appetizers were also tasty. Everything tasted great with the draft Asahi and brown rice tea. #yakitori #japanesefood

I think this is one of the best yakitori restaurants in the Bay Area! We ordered black cod, karaage chicken, and fried mackerel for appetizer. Everything tasted good. However the yakitori was different level! We loved that we can choose either sauce/salt base for all the skewers and beef tongue and chicken thigh was just too good that we wanted to go back already!

The food here was absolutely delicious—perfectly grilled skewers with great flavor and variety. Everything was fresh, tender, and cooked just right. A must-visit if you’re craving authentic yakitori!
