There’s a fountain next to the outdoor seats, food is always above average

I went to Great Maple in Newport Beach and ordered the It’s a Date salad with added chicken. Unfortunately, it was pretty bland — the chicken looked and tasted like it had just been boiled, and there were only a few dates in the mix, which was disappointing given the name. That said, the beignets with lemon custard totally made up for it — absolutely delicious! I’d go back just for those.
