I have been quietly mourning the loss of Chef Kang’s Sul Box in the area, so I was really hopeful when I realized HanEum is another of his creations. And, it did not disappoint! Every is amazing here from the ambience to service to food and drinks. This is easily my new favorite kimchi pancake and the bulgogi and galbi are amazing. It’s a great little spot in K town and I’m already looking forward to going back. 💕

I loved the braised short ribs here! The sauce reminds me of Japanese sukiyaki, but slightly saltier. The meat is incredibly tender and melts in your mouth—perfect with rice. As for the pancakes, there are many options. My personal favorites are the ones with pepper and meat, and the fish one.
