An amazing veggie forward meal with such good sauces!! So so worth it! I loved the sandwich and the oatmeal shake 😋

Nothing better than eating like you are in Costa Rica during cold weather. @irazuchicago has got you and with all the sauces- garlic aioli, chipotle aioli, chimmichurri, salsa verde, another whose name I forgot and of course, Lizano. Sipping on a passion fruit horchata shake and a Tico Tropicana with rum, coconut and tropical juices as I get “cheesy”. Started out with a tamal special filled with pork, veggies and rice. Then man I go-nna get that mango habanero chicken and the jalapeño & 🧀

Did you know Chicago only has one Costa Rican restaurant? 🇨🇷 Irazú is an intimate, family-run spot that’s been bringing the flavors of Costa Rica to the city since 1990 We tried some traditional dishes like empanadas, chifrijo, casado, and savory rum cake and everything was so flavorful and delicious. Definitely one to add to your list!

🌴 Craving a taste of Costa Rica in Chicago? @irazuchicago is where it’s at! 🇨🇷 Here’s what we tried (and loved): 🍖 Skirt Steak Pepitos with sweet plantains – juicy, tender, and oh-so-satisfying. 🥪 The “Cerdas” Sandwich (pulled pork, garlic aioli, jalapeños & caramelized onions) paired perfectly with crispy fried yuca & chipotle sauce 🎉. 🍹 And the Tico Tropicana? Pure tropical vibes in a glass. #Eatchicagoland

What a great neighborhood spot. We have driven by so many times and finally went in to the only Costa Rican restaurant in Chicago. It was lively inside with tropical music and free chips and salsa (so spicy) the drinks made us think we were on the beach! Don’t skip the pepitos sandwiches. So many vegan options. We need to go back for the milkshake
