Good food, great vibes, restaurant staff super friendly

Amazing Crab Night menu. Corn Tofu was out of this world. The Kani Croquette definitely a house favorite. The standout Crab Curry with ume blossom somen and blue crab was richly flavored, while the King Crab, Kinmedai, Maki Nabe offered perfectly cooked. Though the surrounding area felt a bit iffy, stepping inside Kinkan LA revealed a vibe that was completely inviting and upscale. The chef’s friendly demeanor and the never-ending sake made the evening even more enjoyable.

KinKan Los Angeles offers a creative omakase experience that blends Japanese techniques with bold Thai flavors, making it stand out from traditional sushi spots. The fish quality and presentation are excellent, and each course feels thoughtfully crafted. While it’s pricey and not very filling, it’s a great choice for a unique, special-occasion dining experience.

My husband and I had our anniversary dinner at Kinkan. It was omakase and each course was superb, def recommend this restaurant 🫶🏼
