Mal Al Sham

My favorite authentic Mediterranean food in SD! They have filling family meals, salads, and shawarmas arabic style.

Friends, I don’t make it out to El Cajon very often, but we do be traveling for good food! I got to try Mal al Sham the other day, and I was not disappointed. I’m a big fan of middle eastern food, and they serve authentic Lebanese and Syrian food. 🇸🇾 They had a small parking lot, and I got lucky with a spot! There were a ton of to-go orders being bagged up too, so I took those as good signs. They also had spacious indoor and outdoor seating, and everyone was so nice and attentive.

Delicious Arabic food

This is a Syrian restaurant and it’s delicious! I love the pickled vegetables that come with the meats!

The chicken here is so flavorful! It was so tender you can cut it with a spoon. I originally wanted the roasted chicken but it sold out fast! The rice and meat I had was also very good. They also provide fresh hot tea for free. They do sell some delicious sweets. The one I bought isn't overly sweet and is perfect with tea or coffee.

We love coming here any day of the week whether it’s a date night, group hangout or showing a guest in town the magic of authentic Assyrian food! It’s extremely fresh and fast and almost always great service. The hummus is to die for and the chicken is always moist. 10/10 recommend!

Best beef shawarma sandwiches in El Cajon! This place is unmatched. There’s something magical in their beef shawarma sandwiches. And don’t get me started on the garlic sauce. Vampires fear this garlic sauce, I ask for extra.
