Mari Vees in San Marino is a charming spot for breakfast or brunch. I tried their all-day “make your own” omelette with ham, tomato, spinach, and mushroom—so fresh and flavorful. The server was super friendly, adding to the cozy vibe. Strongly recommend this place for a relaxed, satisfying meal. Just note—they’re closed every Monday.

Came here for breakfast, and it was truly a gem. The portions were generous, and the food was fantastic. The only downside was that the restaurant was a bit noisy, which made conversation a little difficult. Overall, though, I’ll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu.

11/19/25 Sadly disappointing meals & drinks. Maybe we ordered the wrongs things but all 3? The chicken n waffles, the almond latte & huevos rancheros? The chicken was over cooked & rubbery at the same time, the waffle tasted like was out of a box (Leggo?) The eggs were supposed to be over easy, got medium (it’s not the end of the world but when you don’t get what you asked for, it’s disappointing) The latte looked pretty but was underwhelming—like regular coffee with foam.

Best pancakes in the area! Super fluffy and the maple butter that comes with it is to die for. Service is nice and usually no wait even on weekends. They also have outdoor seating.

I simply had to go to Mari Vees for National pancake day to try their raspberry lemon whipped cream pancakes! The lemon whipped cream was perfectly tart and drenching their buttery pancakes in their homemade maple syrup was the perfect combination.

A small restaurant that serves only breakfast and lunch. The country fried steak is perfectly crispy and delicious. I love the gravy. They also have really good looking pancakes that I hope to try next time!

stopped by here for breakfast of pumpkin spice latté and chilaquiles, which was delicious with easy eggs and avocado and jalapeño.
