📍 Zarella Pizzeria & Taverna Finally tried one of Chicago’s newest pizza spots! The tavern-style pizza was solid — nothing crazy special, but still really good. (We did half veggie, half Calabrian chili — if you like spice, you’ll love it… but fair warning, it’s SPICY.) I was most excited for the vodka sauce pasta, but honestly… it just tasted like regular tomato sauce. The space itself is beautiful, and there’s even a speakeasy downstairs — such a fun vibe! One of my new favorite Italian spots in the city! The vodka pepperoni tavern style pizza was delicious & the pasta is so flavorful. Mozzarella and salad were the perfect apps🥗🍕🍝

This gnocchi is one of the best in Chicago, the pizza was amazing and also up there with top tavern style pizza in Chicago

Some of the best Tavern Style pizza in the city! Interior and Exterior decor are very classy and elegant, which makes it a fantastic date night spot. Only complaint were cocktails, beers and wine list were pricier than similar restaurants in River North
