Ahgassi Gopchang

If you live in LA and you haven't been to Ahgassi Gopchang, you're missing out! I'm impressed with the quality of meat, the quick and friendly service from the staff, and that ambiance that it reminded me of Korea! The USDA Prime beef combo is a good selection with brisket, a choice of short ribs, and skirt steak or beef tongue. Marinated bone-in short ribs are one of my favorite meats so I opted for that option along with the skirt steak. Though I love beef tongue, skirt steak never misses ❤️

Came to try the gopchang since we saw and heard good things about it but we weren’t too impressed. The gopchang got a little too charred as well making it bitter. The sides are good besides the kimchi, especially the sweet potato’s but their soybean soup is a tad bit on the sweet side and the egg pot isn’t anything special to talk about. On the other hand the brisket was delicious and the service was quick and prompt (given there was only 1 other table seated).

Ahgassi Gopchang is SO good - I would definitely eat here again! My boyfriend and I LOVED the beef brisket the most, but everything else was amazing too. Don’t skip on the Kimchi Pancake - we devoured all of it!!!

This was one of my favorite place to check out and I am so glad I did. The meat quality is fresh and delicious. Everything here was amazing even the side dishes. I am so glad I came here and definitely will be back again.

wednesday night but pack with people

Small group dinner - 3 ppl, ordered the small beef only set. Excellent! Would come again and maybe order the larger one. Pricier but delicious and the e smoke vacuum was excellent so didn’t leave smelly.
