This Filipino-Cuban restaurant should be at the top of your list to try for a prix-fixe meal. Fresh, creative, and flavorful food!

Didn't have to make a reservation on a Friday evening. Service was extremely quick, and the food was fresh and hot when it arrived. The prices for the small plates can't be justified, and the noodles was extremely mediocre - I've had better at literally 1/3rd the price. The highlight was the flan, even though I don't think it was named appropriately. Would not visit again.

Whoa!!! #Filipino #Cuban #fusion Bayan Ko is another stellar establishment that focuses on bringing the Filipino food culture of the chef and his Cuban partner together . They serve great Bites (appetizers) including Sisig Nigiri but save your stomach for the main entrees of which Oxtail Kare Kare and Bayan Ko Paella are standouts. If your stomach can handle get Ube sundae and Cocunut Saffron Flan! #byob

A friend visiting from out of town provided the perfect occasion to check out Bayan Ko. Although tiny, this restaurant feels cozy and intimate while serving amazing dishes. It could even accommodate our different eating styles (gluten free and vegetarian), so we ended up sharing most of our plates! 😋

This place should be at the top of your list for Chicago restaurant week! The lumpia, the chow mein. the ube dessert…it is all so good!
