As a Chicagoan I had to share tavern style pizza as it’s real Chicago pizza. Now some of you may think I am a foodie “pizza” work who wants fancy ingredient bougie type pizza. Well, I do, but one must have an appreciation for the classics. So happy hour at Benchmark made me happy as this pepperoni pizza put some “pep” in my step. As @mrsouthloop says, “their pizza slaps”. And I know they are brushing that crust with garlic butter too, I can just taste it!
