Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen & Udon - Irvine

Fast service was great because I was STARVING when I arrived! Food tasted okay, but relatively expensive in comparison to their competitors. Food offering and service were different from other Shinsengumi locations (read: bad). Menus and countertops were dirty. Bad Bunny blasting in the dining area while norteña music played in the kitchen. Server (lady) was gruff and didn’t explain the ordering process. No “welcome” or “thank you” from any of the employees. Didn’t feel valued as a customer.

Very friendly staff and large menu selections. The Takoyaki was yummy. Ramen however is not as good as I remembered and the Gyoza were tiny.

Hakata ramen

I usually go to this location because they have udon. I noticed my favorite, mentaiko cream udon, was no longer on the menu. However, the chef was willing to make it for me. The valentine's day parfait was very good too.

Super friendly staff. Spacious inside. Food tastes ok could be a tad better. But super family friendly environment and lots of parking.

Delicious ramen and udon that hits the spot good tako wasa. Also good beefy curry udon.

Delicious Hakata Ramen. Reminds me of Japan. The spam musubi is not worth getting though.
