Indonesian cuisine from Simpang Asia! Got to try Nasi Bungkus which is chicken, coconut beef, sambal egg, and veggie curry… all wrapped in a banana leaf! I love how the banana leaf made the experience feel authentic. I was expecting the curry to be more spicy and fragrant, but it was a bit lackluster in terms of flavor. The roti was so delicate and flakey, I wanted to get more! The curry sauce is for dipping and it had a nice sweet coconut touch.

- Garlic string beans - Grilled Fish (Ikan Bakar) Flash fried prior grilling whole tilapia with special soy garlic sauce. -Mie Tek Tek Vintage Indonesian street fried noodle. Egg noodles, chicken breast, eggs, cabbage, & chinese green. We chose lite heat and it had a wonderful kick! -Fried calamari Crispy battered fried calamari with chili dipping sauce. This was so well seasoned and crisped to perfection! & with that chili dipping sauce? *chefs kiss!*

Good place to have Indonesian food

I loved this fried rice, definitely one of the best I’ve had in LA!!

This takeout meal (actually 3 meals) was SO good and the leftovers were even better. Huge portions and delicious flavors!
