Since 1974, The Village Corner German Restaurant & Bakery has been owned and operated by the Friese family, who moved from Germany to the United States. Hailing from Munich and Hamburg respectively, Claus and Hilde Friese began the business as a wholesale bakery, but chose to expand when the community couldn't get enough of Hilde's cooking. Now that their son Carl is at the helm, he hopes to preserve the authentic, traditional dishes and warm hospitality for all to enjoy for many years to c
