Yummy Chinese takeout type of restaurant that’s open late! They make the food fresh when you order so don’t expect the food to come out immediately. There are better Chinese restaurants in Chinatown but Golden Tree is a great option for just the basics.

This spot came through on the busiest day of the year for me. Their food was on time and on point. Maybe Yang Chow is more famous for their slippery shrimp, but Golden Tree has a solid one as well. I would definitely come back for dine-in or takeout.

We came out to Golden Tree because it was Rockstar Eater's top 3 places to eat at in Chinatown, Los Angeles and we hadn't been out here in years. We asked our server the best appetizer and she said crab wontons so we got that. it was just ok in our opinion. i actually thought the crab rangoon from panda express was better. And the three entrees we got were the orange chicken, shrimp with asparagus, and yang chow fried rice. I thought the dishes were comparable to some other places.
