Pappas Restaurants is a family owned and operated restaurant group based in Houston, Texas. The company is operated by brothers Harris and Chris Pappas. The company began as Pappas Refrigeration, founded in Houston in 1945 by Pete and Jim Pappas (uncle and father of Harris and Chris). The company became Pappas Restaurants in 1966 when the Dot Coffee Shop opened in downtown Houston. Pappas now owns and operates over 80 restaurants with locations in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio and Colorado. The company is comprised of a variety of themed restaurants-- what we call "concepts" -- each with its own uniquely styled atmosphere and menu.
