So Good

Been wanting to try Sampa for a while. Went for DineLA. Food was creative and mostly delicious. Our server William was great. Unfortunately the 2 women hosts in front who make the first impression were not very welcoming nor friendly.

The food is not bad, although some dishes are a bit too salty. The service is excellent.

I thought the food was okay and not quite there. The lamb tortellini was pretty good, a little on the salty side but our fried rockfish was not good - not crispy, tasted fishy, not what I would expect for the price. The crispy eggplant salad was good but a little too oily. Service was great, but I think the food can be fine tuned a bit more.
