Marukai

The sushi was fresh and nicely presented, but the flavor didn’t quite stand out as much as I’d hoped. Still a pleasant experience overall.

I had a disappointing experience shopping at Marukai. I purchased sushi and other items but found worms in one of the food products I bought which was very off-putting and made me lose my appetite completely. When I tried to call the store to report this issue, no one answered the phone. I’m concerned about their food quality control and disappointed with the lack of customer service response. I hope management will address these quality control issues.

Great sushi

I love going to Marukai for some authentic Japanese grocery. From fresh seafood, prepared sushi, fruit, to yummy snacks; Marukai truly delivers the best quality products.

Another amazing option at Marukai for lunch rush — seared salmon nigiri!! Oh my goodness, it was so delicious and so fresh! It was only $16.99, which is on par with the sushi restaurants near it, quality included.

I come here for grocery shopping once a week and when I feel too lazy to cook, I buy bento here. It’s decent. i personally prefer Nijiya for Japanese bento but marukai is more convenient since I can buy lot of other things too.

Amazing sushi that’s ready to grab and enjoy! I drooled over their wide selection of sushi, various noodle entrees and karaage chicken. They also offer custom poke bowls. I chose my fav - a dragon roll! The sushi tastes so delicious and fresh. I personally like it better than Mitsuwa’s sushi, which is a similar market across the street from it!
