Such a hidden spot in hillcrest. Cheese wheel pasta is always the move. We had margaritas, pasta and even some lemon dessert. The ambiance is fun and lively too. Perfecr pre game spot!

My favorite Italian spot in San Diego is Rusticucina in Hillcrest. It's authentic Italian, and everything is absolutely delicious. It's one of the best meals I've had in awhile! You have to get the chef's cheese wheel pasta and ossobucco. Their aperol sour has also become one of my favorite cocktails. The atmosphere is whimsical and gorgeous, and the staff is so friendly. We hadn't had a romantic dinner sans child in over a year, and we're so glad RustiCucina was where we went because it was the best Italian food either of us has ever had! We had: Lemontini Sangiovese Eggplant Burrata Bruschetta Lobster Lasagna Cheese Wheel Pasta Lemoncello Cake Everything was absolute perfection!
