This British girl is happy. 🇬🇧 Celebrity chef @richardblais restaurant @californiaenglishsd is a perfect Californian twist on English cuisine. We visited during San Diego restaurant week and it was amazing. So many unique dishes!

English favorites, with a California twist! California’s abundant produce make for a great blend of flavor. This restaurant is the brainchild of Chef Richard Blais. You might know him from Fox’s show Next Level Chef, or Bravo’s Top Chef. He’s also behind other local favorites like Carlsbad’s Ember & Rye, San Diego’s Juniper & Ivy, and The Crack Shack! This spot is full of great flavors, a refreshing ambience, and an outdoor area for events and families.

Delicious food, very elevated but without the price tag

Truly can’t go wrong with anything at California English! Loved the tea time with the girls - and the fish is SERIOUSLY AMAZING

California English has a very classy atmosphere with excellent service from their staff 🍽️ The food choices are really tasty and the menu has an English Pub vibe with some other California fresh options to mix it up. Cheers 🍻

Good selection Teas.

Definitely must try their London Fog! Not only it is entertaining, but it is sooo good! So sweet, you would think there’s no alcohol but it will definitely get you!

I found out California English had a Tea Time option, and knew I had to make a reservation for Galentines Day! My girlfriend and I loved the vibes here, and the Tea Tower was a perfect portion for a brunch date!
