Amazing food.

The decor and vibe were great. I was not happy that we had to wait an extra hour past our reservation to be seated. Apparently this restaurant Over Books reservations which cause very long waits even if you have a reservation. Was not happy at all. This place is definitely more expensive and portions are smaller. The staff was very friendly and picked up on us being unhappy about the wait and gave us a complimentary appetizer. I would not visit this place again.

Wormwood is a romantic French restaurant in the North Park area of San Diego with excellent service from their entire staff. Andrew is knowledgeable and helpful in teaching you the art of making your absinthe drinks. The food is out of this world amazing with so much attention to detail and flavors for each dish served while using classy plate presentation 🍽️

Went to Wormwood Absinthe bar in North Park and was not disappointed! The atmosphere is bohemian and ethereal! I got the tartine aux oignons · french onion tartine (caramelized onion, puff pastry, french onion demi) and it hit the spot. The absinthe has a licorice flavor that youll either love or hate. Swrvice was phenomenal!
