Such an incredible bourbon drink from Huntress in downton San Diego!

This place was amazing, from the service to the food. We came here for a surprise birthday dinner and the servers were so sweet and very attentive. The food was mouth watering, everything we got was perfect.

This is a vibey restaurant located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. The atmosphere is bougie, but stuffy — it’s not very open or welcoming, very tight and dark and two stories high, with a different Japanese rooftop (Lumi) at the top. I was really excited to try this spot, but the food left me SO disappointed! We tried the 28-year aged ribeye and the salmon, with some sides. Generally, all the food was overwhelming dense, and the flavors in each dish just didn’t mix well. Unimpressed.

A night in the town for a dear friend’s dirty 30th led us to Huntress for dinner. This place has an awesome vibe to hit up with friends for celebrations. The four of us had shots of tequila, (served with orange wedges) and our own cocktails to pair with dinner. I forgot to capture it here but I highly recommend their Lobster Curry Soup! It comes with a delightful spoonful of caviar. The steak and sides were divine! The service was great too. We had a fun time over great drinks and food!

The steak was phenomenal and the chocolate ganache dessert was out of this world. Their happy hour menu looked great as well, will definitely be returning for that at some point.
