Got the date night special which was 3 courses for $98 for 2 people and it was absolutely amazing! Every dish was delicious and it was plenty of food for two. The service was excellent and the restaurant had a great vibe. Chef Tara even brought out one of our courses. Will definitely come back again!

Le Coq brings a sexy Paris feel to La Jolla with elevated bites by executive chef Tara Monsod from Animae. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great ambiance, turning into a place to hang out and have drinks to a live dj set after hours. We tried: ⭐️Baguette with chicken skin butter ⭐️Baguette with Pamplie butter & Jam - the baguettes are baked fresh to order and are so delicious. A fantastic first visit to Le Coq! The Rosé Snapper with spring peas and calamansi beurre blanc was an absolute delight. The flavors were perfectly balanced, complementing the lean protein without overpowering it. A great choice for a full and satisfying meal.

Although there are many meat focused dishes, Le Coq actually also has a wonderful variety of meatless and vegetable options as well! Their Baguette is super fresh, their green beans are crunchy, and their french onion tart is so delicious!

Came out for a bachelor group outing. Music was a bit too loud and everything was delicious but a bit too salty.
