The Back Room is one of only two speakeasies in New York City that actually operated during Prohibition, tucked behind a hidden alley entrance on Norfolk Street in the Lower East Side. Guests enter through a discreet passage concealed beneath The LES Toy Company sign, stepping into an authentic 1920s atmosphere complete with vintage decor, old-fashioned furniture, and beautiful paintings. Cocktails and mocktails are served in teacups, a nod to the bar's Prohibition-era roots. The space suits date nights, group hangouts, and celebrations, with a classy yet cozy feel that draws a lively crowd on weekends.
