After my meeting in Carlsbad, I headed to SD for another meeting in the afternoon. So, l was looking for a lunch spot when I found a Peruvian restaurant. I ordered lomo saltado which I hadn't eaten for awhile. I def enjoyed it but, although I love the green sauce, I miss the ají amarillo. Did you know that in Peru, the sauce is actually yellow since they use this orange-ish yellow pepper, with its origin in Peru and Bolivia?

Love the wings and chilli wantons. The noodles was good but little dry.

The highlight was the yucca fries—crispy outside and light, mashed-potato soft inside, paired with great sauces. The garlic noodles used a "stick" style that felt impressively non-greasy. We added a generous portion of lomo saltado; while the meat lacked a bit of depth, the sauces were excellent. I wished for a few more noodles, but the vibe and quality make me excited to try their other locations soon.
