The Prado at Balboa Park is a historic American restaurant set inside the House of Hospitality, a National Landmark originally built in 1915 for the Panama-California Exposition. The building's Spanish, Moorish, and Mexican architectural details, including hand-painted stencil designs on doors, ceilings, and beams, give it a character unlike any other dining room in San Diego. The award-winning menu highlights diverse, innovative cuisine with Spanish influences, spanning both land and sea, with standouts like the Spicy Calamari Fries, Red Wine Braised Beef Short Ribs, and the famous Prado Paella. Guests can enjoy a glass of signature Sangria on the terrace overlooking the Casa del Rey Moro Garden. The space is well-suited for families, date nights, and large celebrations, with over 22,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including lush gardens, romantic terraces, and a Grand Ballroom.
The Prado at Balboa Park is located at 1549 El Prado, Suite 12, San Diego, CA 92101, inside the historic House of Hospitality building in the heart of Balboa Park.
